Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand carbon credit business opportunities in local and international markets.
  • Identify potential partners, investors, buyers, and project opportunities related to carbon finance and sustainability.
  • Lead business communication with international stakeholders, climate funds, ESG investors, and carbon registries.
  • Support carbon credit project registration and commercialization processes.
  • Prepare business proposals, presentations, feasibility reports, and partnership documents.
  • Conduct market research on voluntary carbon markets (VCM), compliance markets, ESG trends, and climate finance.
  • Coordinate with technical, MRV, engineering, and sustainability teams for project development.
  • Build strategic relationships with government agencies, NGOs, development organizations, and private sector clients.
  • Participate in meetings, seminars, and conferences related to carbon markets and sustainability initiatives.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Engineering, Economics, International Business, or related fields.
  • MBA or relevant higher qualifications will be considered an advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Business Development, Sustainability, ESG, Renewable Energy, Environmental Projects, or Carbon Credit-related sectors.
  • Experience working with international organizations, climate finance, or carbon trading projects will be highly preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Carbon Credit, ESG, Climate Finance, and Circular Economy concepts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong English writing and speaking capability.
  • Ability to prepare professional proposals and investor presentations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, reporting, and market research.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of VERRA, Gold Standard, UNFCCC, Article 6, or other carbon registry frameworks.
  • Understanding of MRV (Measurement, Reporting & Verification) systems.
  • Experience in Waste-to-Energy, Renewable Energy, or Environmental Infrastructure projects will be an advantage.
