Bayezid and Halishahar TGs will be converted into modern landfills: CHSIC Mayor

Chittagong City Corporation Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain has said that to make the city’s waste management modern and environmentally friendly, the Trenching Grounds (TG) of Bayezid and Halishahar will be converted into modern landfills in a phased manner. On the one hand, this will reduce environmental pollution, and on the other hand, it will create opportunities for electricity and fuel production from waste through the use of modern technology.

The mayor made the remarks at the signing ceremony of the Landfield Gas Project agreement between B&F Company Limited and CHSIC at the CHSIC office in Tiger Pass from 3 to 4 pm on Monday.
